Jetraw by dotphoton
Jetraw is a raw image compression software for high-end biomedical applications developed by Dotphoton, Swiss company specialising in image quality validation and compression. Jetraw provides size reduction of 8:1 on average at the speed of 200 MB/sec/core, while preserving the raw quality of images.
Unlike traditional image compression algorithms, which remove image data to reduce file size, or provide a low compression ratio in the case of lossless techniques, Jetraw-compressed output retains image information while being significantly smaller in size. This results in 8x faster transfer of data, access, and cheaper storage.
Image decompression is free and unlimited for anyone in Jetraw UI, which is openly available from Jetraw website.
JetRaw for microscopy
Jetraw is particularly useful for researchers who acquire large raw image files, such as for:
- Light-sheet microscopy (SPIM)
- High-throughput screening
- Long-term multidimensional acquisitions
- Digital pathology
The main camera brands used on microscopes are compatible, including Andor, Hamamatsu, PCO and Photometrics.
Jetraw software fits perfectly into the Inscoper I.S. workflow. At the end of your acquisition, you can obtain two types of images: raw images to be displayed and compressed images to be stored.
